The Story Behind Battalion Beers

A Mission Rooted in Remembrance
Battalion Beers was created as a meaningful way to express and preserve the battlefield history of the First and Second World Wars.
Founded by Ryan Alder, a proud British Army veteran, the vision was simple – to ensure that the stories of battles, actions, and personal struggles of those who served are remembered and never forgotten.
Through the craft of brewing, we bring powerful histories to life. Each beer captures a moment in time – a tribute to courage, sacrifice, and resilience..

“As a veteran, I’ve always felt a responsibility to keep these stories alive. Brewing allows us to share them in a way people connect with.”
Ryan Alder
More Than a Drink – A Tribute

Crafted in Collaboration
Brewed in partnership with Tucks Brewery, a passionate microbrewery in Sherwood Forest, each beer is made with care and authenticity.
Tucks began brewing in 2020 and opened their own taproom in 2023 at Thoresby Park.
Their commitment to quality and small-batch excellence brings unmatched craftsmanship to every pint.
Art That Tells a Story
Our visual identity is brought to life by Tim Catherall, an artist whose connection to military history runs deep.
His illustrations capture authentic wartime moments – from soldiers at rest to battles that changed history – blending artistry and remembrance in every label.

Our Mission
Through every beer we create, we honour the legacy of those who served, connect generations through craft, and ensure their stories continue to be told – for today, and for tomorrow.
